Kendra Morris grew up imbued with a sense of music—her parents played in bands together, and she often broke into their cabinets full of vinyl to listen to their favorite records. As Mar vin Gaye, the Spinners, War, Stevie Wonder, Jackson 5, and the Temptations washed over her, they soon became hers too. She sang along to her favorite albums with a voice she discovered soon after she learned how to talk.

While performing solo around New York City, Morris met and began collaborating with producer Jeremy Page and released a self-titled EP in

2010. She’d been conscientiously working on her craft as a songwriter, which was acknowledged by ASCAP and the Songwriters Hall of Fame the following year.The institutions awarded Morris the 2011 Holly Prize, which recognizes new singer-songwriters whose talents honor the legacy of Buddy Holly by way of excellence in songwriting, performing, and musicianship.

A tour with Motown Funk Brother Dennis Coffey and suppor t from DJ Premier via his remix of her blaxploitation-dipped single “Concrete Waves” pepper the year that Morris took to write and record her full-length debut. Inspired in name by wailing female demons from Irish folklore, Banshee is an amalgam of stories, both imagined and Morris’s own, produced by previous collaborator Jeremy Page and released in August 2012 release by Wax Poetics Records. “In a way, banshees just cast spells with their voices,” Morris says, “and I just think some of the greatest singers do the same thing.”

Recently teaming up with French powerhouse Richard Walter Productions, Kendra and her band have been touring Europe for the past year, playing sold out shows to thirsty crowds throughout the Continent. When not touring, Kendra has been hard at work on her next full- length record, coming some time in 2015.

Take a ride with That Handsome Devil to the other side of town: a neighborhood where Charles Bukowski hung his hat at a juke joint; where the bar tender knew Hunter Thompson’s single malt of choice and kept plenty in stock.This is the place where That Handsome Devil’s front man/songwriter Godforbid calls home, where Jeremy Page (producer/songwriter) bangs on a bullet-riddled piano, its beaten keys howling from a smoky corner. Their cracked-out, whiskey-cabaret punk jazz, echoing Outkast, Gogol Bordello and early Tom Waits, is the soundtrack to this bizarre scene.

Formed in late 2004, the inspiration for this Brooklyn-based group was the lack of meaningful music that makes it into the realm of pop.THD’s solution is what Godfobid calls “Fringe Pop.” And for the past half-decade,That Handsome Devil has received scores of positive reviews, being praised as "profoundly enter taining", "bizarre in a beautiful way" and "a madcap musical frenzy as dizzying as it is dazzling".THD has increased their national visibility with placement of the track "Mexico" in the Showtime network hit, Weeds, as well as the playable bonus tracks "Elephant Bones" in Guitar Hero II and "Rob the Prez-O-Dent" in Rock Band 2. In 2011, followed by a cult of fans and critics alike,That Handsome Devil came parading back to town with a dramatic celebration of the macabre: 'The Hear t Goes to Heaven,The Head Goes to Hell.' Barreling from guitar funk swagger to unhinged howling; bemoaning croons of love and loss, black magic and whiskey,THD drag you down the rabbit hole with exhilarating highs and hear t-wrenching lows. Only in the end do you finally catch your breath, just in time to play it all over again.

After releasing in 2012 a dark, enthralling re-imaging of the Disney classic “The Jungle Book,” September 2014 at long last sees the release of THD's third full-length album - stay tuned!
